We went camping this weekend with my family. It was a lot of fun and so much fun to spend time with everyone. The campground was so nice. Lots of shade and it was nice and quiet, even though it was right off the main road up the canyon. It was a hot bastard though! Regardless, it was so nice to be able to relax and just hang out with family.
The kids had a great time playing with each other and did a great job keeping themselves busy. They rode bikes, drove their jeeps, played in the water, went for walks and the girls freaked out about bugs getting on them.
Aviry decided that her mom needed to get married so she told Melissa to "pick a man" to get married to. Of course, Melissa chose Scott and they had a cute little ceremony in front of the fire pit with Aviry officiating. She did a fabulous job, having each of them take turns saying their vows. It was the cutest thing!
We decided to dump our trailer in Springville at the water treatment plant. As we were pulling out, the serpentine belt slipped off and the shaft to the power steering pulled broke. Just our luck! To make matters even better, both of our cell phones were dead! I was able to turn mine on long enough to get a few numbers and leave one message before it died completely. I did a pretty good job not freaking out considering it was hotter than hell outside, we had the kids with us, the truck was broke down, we had no cell phones and nobody knew where we were!
A couple that came to dump their trailer was very nice and let us use his cell phone. We were able to get Matt's sister to bring us her phone and then were able to get a hold of people. After a lot of scheming and planning we figured out where to tow the truck to and found somebody to tow the trailer back to Donna's house in Springville. We are so lucky to have family that cares so much about us and is so supportive!
Amazingly enough, we were able to get almost everything home in the Equinox. I'm sure it was quite the sight to see us driving down the interstate with a Jeep on top of the car!
